Ron Keel: Alone/Acoustic
The Ron Keel “Alone/Acoustic” shows are a unique intimate musical experience with a true rock n roll survivor – somewhere between a sold-out Madison Square Garden and a campfire surrounded by a few close friends. Ron Keel has enjoyed performing in both settings, and after years of solo acoustic gigs around the world he’s very comfortable in this situation.
“Just me, my guitar, my stories and my songs,” Ron explains. “It’s a huge challenge. And it’s not a guy sitting on a barstool strumming an acoustic – I am standing up, rocking out, singing my heart out and trying to deliver a real show. Audience participation, the stories, the memories, everything is geared to satisfying the audience first and satisfying myself as well.”
The show includes the 80’s rock hits that put Keel on the map – “Because The Night,” “Tears Of Fire,” “The Right To Rock” and other songs from Ron’s 4-decade career, from Steeler to the present day, including favorites from his solo acoustic album “Alone At Last” (the remastered Deluxe Edition has just been released on CD and all digital/streaming platforms: https://ronkeel.hearnow.com ).

I am equally at home on an arena stage or a roadhouse bar in the middle of nowhere, and the show is always geared to the audience. Rockers, rednecks, bikers, longtime fans and new friends - music is the common bond that brings us together.

ALONE AT LAST - DELUXE EDITION
The Solo Acoustic Album
This album was recorded in my bedroom south of Nashville in 2006, and I still consider it one of the most difficult and rewarding projects of my entire career. For this deluxe edition, I did not fix or change any of the original recordings or mixes – but you can sure hear the difference now that it’s been digitally remastered.
There are those who have sat at a bar with me until long after closing, when my throat is raw, and listened to me pull out my favorite songs and play them until my fingers bled and the strings broke. Some have shared a campfire and a bottle of whiskey and heard these songs echo through the canyons, or been there on the bus or at the hotel as we passed the guitars around and sang and played through the night.
This album captures that side of me; I hope you enjoy it.
