While I'm extremely proud of all of my other bands and projects, you can bet that most of my commercial accomplishments have been achieved with a band called KEEL.
KEEL has now signed with Frontiers Records, a label at the forefront of hard rock and melodic rock (in recent years they have released successful efforts by such heavyweights as Journey, Styx, Tesla and others). In January of 2010 Frontiers will simultaneously release our brand new album “Streets Of Rock & Roll” and “The Right To Rock – 25th Anniversary Edition.”
Concert highlights in 2009 were appearances at some of the biggest rock festivals in the business: KEEL burned up the stages at Rocklahoma, the South Texas Rock Festival, the M3 Rock Festival, and the Mid West Rock Fest in addition to sold-out headline appearances in Hollywood and Phoenix. 2010 is shaping up to be an even bigger year for the band – our album releases will be supported by more U.S. festival dates next summer and KEEL also hopes to return to Europe, the U.K., and Japan.
In 1985 KEEL exploded onto the hard rock scene with “The Right To Rock,” the fastest-selling debut album in A&M Records’ history. That disc and its successor “The Final Frontier” were both produced by Gene Simmons, and have recently been re-released by Universal Music for digital download. KEEL sold over two million albums and toured with/opened for icons such as Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Van Halen, and Aerosmith, winning Best New Band honors in publications such as Circus, Metal Edge and Hit Parader. Radio and MTV hits include “The Right To Rock,” “Tears Of Fire,” “Because The Night,” “Somebody’s Waiting,” and “Rock N Roll Outlaw.”
The new album, "Streets Of Rock & Roll," is a killer kollection of all-new material in the classic vein of our commercial hard rock roots - fist-pumping anthems fueled by screaming guitars and loud aggressive vocals. I'm extremely proud of this music, and can say with total confidence that this is our best album ever. Available January 29th on Frontiers Records! |
